I never have long practice sessions any more :( For the most part I only play for is about an hour if that, I get bored otherwise :? Guess I need a better practice thing, all I do at the minute is play songs and jam to backing tracks.

Me too :(

Check out the 6 part video of Audley Freed on you tube, it's great!
He has a multi millionaire bird too who pays.....erm. No he doesn't.

Work on different rhythms like funky stuff, thats good to learn and sharpens things up.

Sam I'd love to have a Rep like Blackbeard wouldn't you?!! The Royal Navy and all the other pirates scared because his reputation went before him. A master of manipulating fear. A bit like an advertising executive!

The image of Blackbeard walking into a boardroom, flaming beard and all, with a portfolio of advertising work under his arm including various pictures of himself modelling for Pirate Weekly frankly had me in stitches...
I too use chicken as a measurement.

you may be ok right now, but this is what I did and as a result I got CTS (carpial tunnel syndrome) or Tendonitis! just be sensible and have breaks in practicing, trust me you really DONT want CTS!

Thanks for the tip. I've found as long as you vary what you practise you can go for hours. I do take plenty of breaks too, plus warm up too.
