I don't want to interupt this PRS party, but I've owned a couple of PRS SE's, and I could never get the intonation spot on with their hardtails. Anyone else have this issue, or is it just me ?

Mine's ok, but I cheated and took it to a professional tech. Those SE stoptails are quite imprecise things though.

I played a few SE's, they felt a bit toy like, nothing substantial and by no means comparable to my Epi. Although I think I may have a good bit of wood on this one :)

Well my PRS GAS hasn't subsided so I'm checking one of these out next week (with moons, not birds)

TF, what model is that? I do not understand PRS model No designation at all :?
I ask as I think that is a very nice one, and its not often I see one I like, 22 frets, hardtail, toggle switch rather than rotary etc

+1 on the moons

I'm getting a CE24 Maple Top if it damn well kills me.

Seeing as I have money now it looks highly likely I'll get such a prized guitar. Or the ESP Horizon I've been looking at, but that's another story along with many others.

CE22 Full Mahogany?

My observations:
"PRS" logo, so that makes it a High Gloss Model?
Toggle pickup switch
Finish (natural)

But then again, the actual model there could be the CE Limited Edition models which have birds, but I dunno if it's 22 and 24, *shrugs*

Although the Horizon might not look as nice as the PRSs, mine ouperforms the different Custom and standard 24s that I've played, but that might be just because I prefer the neck profile and the ebony fretboard of the ESP.

That all being said.... The new Hiland signature looks superb!

The Horizon II FR has a Thin U Contour neck, and most likely I'll want a wide thin PRS neck, I don't know the comparison between them though.

It's the new PRS McCarty Korina  :D  22 frets, thicker body than a Custom or Standard 22.

I'd love one with birds (like my Mira) but PRS has now moved to bird 'outlines' on all models.  Nice up close, but as you move away the birds disappear.

Not worth the upcharge now in my opinion  :(

That looks like a Korina McCarty to me. Bit hard to tell in the light it's been shot in.

Where are you going to check that out TF, or is it secret?

Edit: TF beat me to the post. Yep, I'm a muppet.

Better buy my PRS quickly then. I don't want these silly outlined birds! I want full birds! As if they're gonna fly off the fretboard damn it!

I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you  ;)

It's a fairly local PRS dealer.

Hehe, given your location, I can probably narrow it down to which one! Wouldn't worry though, in my current financial state, I'm the last person who's going to beat you to it.

And likewise, from more than 2 feet away the "moons" look like regular dots.
