New Gunslinger/Baretta alternative?
« on: April 13, 2008, 10:31:56 PM »
Does anyone know if someone produces a decent Kramer Baretta or BC Rich Gunslinger style guitar at the moment?  I'm talking single humbucker, Floyd Rose, single volume?

I could do with a backup for my Jackson Dinky, but I don't want to spend a fortune.

Any ideas????

He has a gorgeous amber one up for £1750, but I wasn't planning on spending that much!  I'm thinking around the £400 mark?

Surely someone must make a reasonable cheapy that I can BKP?

Dunno if you'd be interested or not mate, but this is for sale:

I want a fair bit less than £400 for it too, so let me know if you're interested.

Didn't BC Rich just re-issue the Gunslinger? Like the old 1 humbucker USA's in Red and Yellow.

I was going to say a parts guitar might be the way to go.  But I like Wez's Hello Kitty suggestion too.  :)

Aren't there a lot of older superstrats going dirt cheap on eBay?  But maybe the prices are going up because they're semi-fashionable again.

You might wanna check out the 'ultimate 80s guitar' thread from not too long ago; lots of guitar models were mentioned in that thread.

BC Rich has a 'new' Gunslinger that you should check out. There are also loads of used Assassins and Gunslingers out there for good prices.

Meanstreet Guitars makes a low-cost Baretta style guitar.

Didn't realise they were making new Gunslingers again!  I take it they're made in Korea?

Ben - have you played the Mean Street Unchained guitar?  I've been tempted by one of those for a little while.  Are they any good?

Brow - I'll drop you a PM.

I still have 3 Gunslingers up for grabs - starting at £799 and have reduced the amber one to £1199 (or make me a sensible offer)
