Saw Oh Brother Where art Thou last night. Brilliant!

Also saw how to lose friends and alienate people this week, also great, except for the terrible hollywood ending. Megan fox wasn't as pretty in this as she normally is.

Watched 'how to lose friends...' the other day. worst film ever made IMO. It's like a romcom (the worst genre of all) with barely any 'rom' and barely any 'com'. It was just a big gaping hole of a film.

That said - i rewatched the Texas Chainsaw Massacre last night and I still think it's one of the best horrors ever. The woman in Blockbuster was useless. I gave her the box, and after like 5 mins of searching she cracks "Sorry I can't find Chainsaw Massacre" on me (there was a price sticker over the word "Texas"). She actually worked in a video store and had never heard of the texas chainsaw massacre.
After I told her the title  she found a DVD promptly and gave it to me. I microwave the popcorn, and sit down to enjoy, only to realise she'd given me the bloody cr@p remake so i had to run back to bloackbuster to get it changed!

I also watched a film called "REC" (as in short for 'record') today, which is possibly the best new horror film i've seen this year. FANTASTIC. EVERYONE SEE IT.
LOVING the Mules!

Yeah Rec is well good, one of my favourite horror films. Watched Fight Club again last night since I got it on dvd and hadnt even bothered to watch it, I really do love that film.

is Rec the one that's just been re-made & called Quarantine?

The first one was good, give that credit.

Yeah the first is ok, I havent actually seen the rest of them. May download Saw II just to see some gore and clever traps

edit - horsehead, Quarantine is the remake of Rec. I dont see why they bothered though as the original Rec is awesome, I have a feeling it'll be shitee.

Don't bother with II, I think 3 + 4 are ok, 4 being the best since the original.
Watched the original today again, pretty good, even if I knew the outcome.

Also watched Wanted, and Ghost Ship.

I love the stunts in Wanted!

I have 'Planet Terror' to watch later on.

It's part of a 2 set of Grindhouse films that Robert Rodriguez did with Quentin Tarrantino (sp?).

Planet Terror is Roberts film and Quentins was the rubbish Death Proof. Hopefully this 1 is better though.

i think planet terror is the better of the two.  behind all the reliced film and cheesy effects there is a pretty decent (if not original) story.

Went to see Tropic Thunder last night, it wasnt as good as I thought it was going to be but still wasnt shiteee. Tom Cruise is actually good in it which really surprised me as I usually hate him in any film he's in

Watched Speed Racer round my mates house after that, pretty shitee film with really annoying characters, but the cgi and car "fight" scenes are great. Also, Christina Ricci :P
