Been watching a lot of Wes Anderson movies. Bottle Rocket was ok, Rushmore is amazing and a new favorite of mine, Royal Tennabaums is great and The Life Aquatic not so good, i didn't even finish watching it.

Pretty much agree with that assessment, but I have a soft spot for Bottle Rocket.

Have you seen The Darjeeling Limited yet?

No that's next on the list, I know nothing about it so don't have any expectations.

Watched Inglorious Basterds last night, really enjoyed it. Really not what I was expecting though, the trailer makes it seem a very different film. . Very little in the way of action, but lots of fantastically tense dialogue, with the constant threat of horrifying violence.
I really loved what he did with the SS officers. Traditionally they're all hard and frightening, but if you talk to middle class germans they come across as slightly camp (when speaking in english anyway). He manages to capture this perfectly while still making them really menacing (if not more so).

Yeah, it does seem a bit insubstantial, but I enjoyed it more than The Life Aquatic.  I wonder what Fantastic Mr Fox will be like?

I'm going to watch District 9 on Wednesday, hopefully I'll get a row/screen mostly to myself as the kids should've $%&#ed off back to school now :)

Watched About A Boy yesterday, seen it before but not in ages. Great film, probably the only Hugh Grant one I can stand!

I watched Memento yesterday. Too many holes, couldn't enjoy it.

Very weird, and not clear. But an interesting concept overall

Just finished ...Limited and it was pretty good. Rushmore and Tennabaums are still 1 and 2 in my book. Life aquatic is pants. I like Bill Murray, but he was rubbish in the life aquatic.
