Just got back from Scott Pilgrim, absolutely awesome! Loved the vfx/editing style and it was just pure entertainment. After seeing it I need 3 things:

-bass guitar
-fuzz pedal
-ramona flowers

 8)
:)

I agree with your 3 item list too.

I won't lie, I had serious GAS for a Rickenbacker Bass after watching it.
Driving in my car, smoking my cigar, the only time i'm happys when i'm playing my guitar!

I saw Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time e few nights ago. I actually thought it would be worse than it was. Too much flimsy wise cracking between the prince and the priestess, but apart from that and a few other silly things they caught the athmosphere and action of the games quite well.

I have now thrown my hungry eyes over Deadwood. I have only seen the first two episodes, but it really seems like an excellent show.

just watched triangle.   An interesting film i quite enjoyed.  i aint going to say too much other than that it uses time loops as a plot device and if you like films like memento you will enjoy it.

Its not quite as good as memento and suffers from budget restrictions at points (all scenes at sea look like a swimming pool)... but it uses said story telling device in interesting ways.

Strange Days

I was lucky enough to go to the UK Premiere in 1995 (red carpet and everything!  ) but I've never watched it since - sometimes when I really like a film I'm afraid to watch it again in case it loses its "magic".  This one didn't.  It's absolutely brilliant and feels like it could've been made yesterday.  Now I want a Blu-ray!

Iron Man 2

I had high expectations for this as i loved the first one which everyone i know hated.

It starts of really well then has a huge droop in the middle where not much really happens then the end picks up again.

Not half as good as the first but some of the special effects are really swish

i watched it. Oh dear. Now, I missed the first two minutes, and a couple of other bits for a minute or two when i was getting something to eat, but I doubt very much that that would have made it a decent film. In my defence, the fact rachel bilson was in it was pretty much why i watched it. I suspected from the get go that it'd be shiteee. I think hayden christensen gets elevated to jason statham status... EDIT: oh dear wiki suggests there might be a sequel. or more than one sequel

EDIT #2: I spent pretty much the entire thing going, "WTF?"... Now, I realise science-fiction/superhero type films are never going to score highly on realism, but this was just ridiculous. Actually the jumping guff was the most realistic  "I thought you were dead, oh of course I'll go to rome with you on the same day i find out you're still alive!"

What?!?!?!?

And how the heck did no-one notice all these people just appearing in places?!?!?!

I just watched a "double bill" of Korean horror movies I bought on DVD ages ago and never got round to watching:
Cello (absolute rubbish) and The Red Shoes (very good indeed).

I'm assuming the new Red Shoes isn't a remake of this one then :)?  Can't say Moira Shearer ever did much for me but couldn't really call her horrific either.

 Definitely not a remake, but both films did take inspiration from the Hans Christian Andersen story, I believe.

I watched the new version of Fame a few days ago.

I'm still recovering. Total cheese fest. I should have known better.
I think I hate being indecisive.
