New series of Breaking Bad started in America the other day, so it's available to "acquire" at your preferred website. Bloody awesome, not a great deal happens but once again it's very very tense.

Entourage S8 should start soon as well :)

just started on the original killing, got them as part of out new dvd collection

and i picked up breaking bad again as we only watched the first series originally

true blood is back on and looking back on form so far

the new torchwood is disappointing.  its been Americanized with a much bigger budget - but some of the hammiest acting i have ever seen, and not in a good way.  however, the first episode was filmed in the gower near a campsite we visit occasionally (also filmed an episode of skins there) and in a cottage we have talked about hiring everytime we have walked along that beach.  that saved the first episode, 2nd was terrible

watched x-men first class the other day and enjoyed it quite a bit.  not a brilliant film but better than the 3rd and not far off the first.

green lantern was quite bad by todays standards, but there are worse superhero films out there

thinking of having an infernal affairs marathon this weekend, seen the 1st one but none of the others and we now have a limited collectors edition boxed set of the whole series of films taking up a lot of space on the shelf.

i also have the 3 colours films that need to be given a go

It was Rhossili wasn't it?  I went there quite a lot when I was a kid, being a Swansea boy.  I think to be honest it's probably only the South Wales connection which makes me watch Torchwood.....

DVD or Blu-ray?  I have them on Hong Kong DVD but the Blu-ray set never seems to come down in price.

Got Salo to watch tonight. Watched it along time ago but got inspired to rewatch it after coming across this bananas performance art/theater/holiday http://www.villa-salo.dk/

Probably a good idea not to visit that at work.

Hmm, clicked on the link but felt no inclination to continue....

Good luck with the film.  It's hard work but undeniably fascinating.

Probably a good idea not to visit that at work.

I still kick myself on a daily basis for not visiting that performance when it ran. The way they went in deeper with the whole treatment of morality, man's cruelty towards man, the nature of dominance and "evil" was truly fascinating.

Funny story though; I went to a seminar about it after it was over, and ironically my take and interpretation of the work was spot-on with what the performers said they wanted to convey with it, and that came from reading reviews and reports about it. At the seminar were alsoa whole arseload of scholars, theatre people and so-called artists. Up-their-own-bottom pseudo-intellectuals the lot of 'em. They, funnily enough, got it all wrong

The Other Guys - I thought this was going to be pretty shite but actually surprisingly funny. Mark Wahlberg is way better in this sort of film than when he tries to be serious.

I've seen about 8 (-ish) film since my last post but there were all absolute garbage, so... skip to the end...

The Fighter - Fantastic film with an amazing performance from Christian Bale, he might be a c**t but that fella' can act. The story is the same 'hungry' boxer movie you've seen many times before but that make it no less enjoyable. The characters are so well portrayed, at times, if feels more like a documentary. Highly recommended.

The Lovely Bones - I haven't read the book, so I don't know, maybe this is a brilliant adaptation...... but I didn't think it worked in any way at all.  :|

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 - Pretty good, but I must say that the Harry Potter films have lost some of its magic after I read the books. I saw 1-4 before reading the books and they were much more interesting, but I guess it's always like that.

Limitless - Decent drama/thriller. Kept me entertained for one and a half hour or so.

Source Code - Really interesting film. Maybe it lost a bit of pace towards the ending, but very watchable.

I watched this recently and agree with all of the above. What a great family to be a part of! I'm wondering if the sisters really were that bad!

If you footage of the real Dicky and Micky it is amazing how well Bale and Wahlberg pull off their mannerisms.

Those sisters were just sooooo tacky and skanky every single one of them!  :D I wonder if they really looked like this  :D
