Yeah, good idea for a thread.  I had thought up some ideas of combining humbuckers that may sound good together, like a rebel yell and a black dog, or black dog and emerald.

It's still an option - 10 bucks on ordering I think - on their guitars. I've owned a Carvin with this feature (another with individual select switches but without the phasing/tapping, and a third with individual tap switches with 3 way selector) but I never really found much use for it. I tend to use full-snorting mode most of the time & tap neck if required... I'm just not subtle enough.

I like their sound. A lot of people appear not to...!
