:D Hi guys i thought i`d pass on some advice :D Nice to hear you`ve got a producer. Do your selfs a favour and listen to what he tells you. He might offer some playing or song suggestions you can always record over them if they dont work so dont be afraid to give `em a go. Remember a producer is there to help and is a fresh set of ears. His bound to have ideas if he`s any kinda producer so let him have his say and listen to what he says. One of the biggest problems i enconter with band members that act as the producer is they always get carried away with themselves. Take the new Pagans Mind album. It was produced by the guitarist. It`s awfull a good producer would have told him all the riffs where self indulgent unremberal cr@p and adviced him to rewrite the damn things ! The Bass sound is mushy and terrible and disapears in the mix as it`s not distinct enough. And he ruined the lead vocals as well reducing the guy to have to shout and scream through everything.
