I think the Mullard RIs are only officially available in the US. This might be total bullsh!t, but I seem to recall some deal with New Sensor's licencing of the Mullard name was US only or non-Europe.

Ah.  That would make sense as I bet the Mullard brand is protected here in the UK....

Is that the right one? Shall be retubing my 2204, so would it be better to go for 3 of them, or just V1?

oops, not in stock :(

Nope, that's the Groove tubes (GT) 12ax7-M, the second favourite in the initial "shootout".
If you want the latest Mullard re-issues, I'd get some of these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mullard-12AX7-ECC83-7025-New-Vintage-Reissue-TONE_W0QQitemZ180243824689QQihZ008QQcategoryZ121164QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem from the USA. A good price, especially if you get three with combined shipping costs. They'll take a week or so to arrive, but I doubt you'll get hit with any import duties, as they are too low in value.

Being the opposite of a gain monster I use a 12AT7 in my V1 position and 5751s in the other two pre-amp positions - so original Mullards are easy to come by.

But I do need to replace my EL84s - These new Mullards, they are made by New Sensor who make all the Russian tubes, so aren't these just Sovteks with an new/old name?  What is different between these and matched Sovteks?

Damn, maybe I'll get some to try them out.

Well I have been playing the New Sensor Mullard branded EL84s in my Blues Junior since June and I like them!  More presence than TADs (which I never liked) less hard than Harma E84Ls.  So a good buy in my view.
