I agree with what everyone says about tea.  I ALWAYS have a cup of tea in the morning unless I've overslept.  Well I say I have a cup of tea, I have as much as I can possibly drink until I have to go out.

Been back in the office for about an hour now and I'm on my third cup of coffee (well finished it, might go for my fourth).  My tea mug at home holds about a pint and a half  :D
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

i have to eat or i quickly feel sick and can't function.

i eat a hearty breakfast usually, with hopefully some sweet things for the sugar kick:

alpen sugar free musli (to which i add salt)
chocolate
fresh gerkhins
carrots
fruit juice
cheese
yogurt
croissant
pain au chocolat

that sort of thing

you wouldn't use the meat knife on crusty bread but, equally, the serrated knife and straight edge knife aren't going to go through raw meat as quickly

Agh! I hate this thread, it makes me want to eat lots of stuff, and an attempt at dieting doesn't mix well with this.
Today was a cup of tea, other times maybe weetabix too, during my days at school, I would wake up and be out the door in about 10-15 mins, and in the gap of about half an hour between bus arriving and school beginning would either have a Tesco sani, croissant (croy - sant :D ), or something similar.
When there was a big cr@p assembly coming along, the brekkie restaurant part of Tesco usually would take the same amount of time as assembly

I've taken to breakfast in a big way since I started cycling to work, you need something in the old belly to prepare you for the sheer mindless abuse and terror that crossing Belfast by two wheels results in.

On a weekday, then, it's usually four shredded wheat, a banana, cup of coffee and a fag, but at weekends, I tend to go the whole way and have a proper fry. Soda Bread, purty bread, pancake, bacon, beef sausage, pork and leek sausage, veg roll, black pudding, white pudding, mushrooms, and a dirty great mug of tea, followed by two bensons and collapsing on the living room floor for an hour. It's a good appetiser for a day on the stout.

No way can you do that!

I had a mighty breakfast this morning purely because I managed to find tattie scones AND lorne sausage in an English shop yesterday.

Bacon, a two poached eggs, french toast, 4 tattie scones, a lorne sausage, two link sausages, beans and normal toast. It was wonderful.

Incidentally, you can't actually have a breakfast without tattie scones, it might be a breakfast shaped object, but nothing more.

Breakfast: The first and most important meal of the day.

Do you have breakfast?

I always seem to have no time for breakfast. Waking up at 6.45am and out the door before 7.45am.

If you do eat breakfast, what do you have? Bread? Tea? Coffee? Porridge? Orange Juice? Do you go out for breakfast?

It's my day off so I got to unload a bowl of cereal today.

firstly:

how can you get up so early? I wake up as late as 3:20 p.m. and sometimes go to bed as late as 5-6 am, this is quite common recently.

I like to eat breakfast after 12, and I never ever miss it, eat bran flakes, they are the best! porrdige is also good

secondly:

dont miss it. PDT_029

Easy, I love waking up early, the morning is cool and peaceful. I set my alarm and just get up. I usually wake up right before my alarm goes off, which is slightly strange.

on a weekend I rarely have breakfast, but when I do I go to town - the works.

during the week, I'd say it's a 50/50.  I had duck pate and toast for breakfast this morning, but yesterday it was Jordans muslei.  One time last week I got up early and did a mushroom omelette.

I always have coffee in the morning (I'm so addicted!) and then if I got time, bran flakes, keep my fibre level up, most people don't get enough fibre

I limit my coffee to 2 or 3 cups a day, and I won't have it after 1pm because caffeine stays in your system for 10 hours so I want to get rid of it before I go to sleep

tomorrow I might have a scotch egg for breakfast... if I haven't eaten it before bed

+1. I get paid 4 quid for waking up early and going out for a ride for 30 mins with a few papers.

And that alarm thing happens to me also. :?

You a paperboy?

I used to have a paper round and I was always late.  I've always been really bad at getting up in the moring.  In fact, I can't be held responsible for my actions before I finish my first up of tea in the morning. Kind of like a bear coming out of hibernation.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.
