Glad you all like it. I picked it up from Jonathan on Friday afternoon and haven't put it down since. It is absolutely superb. It is the long awaited replacement for my stolen Fender Jaguar and was designed to be a Jaguar (with some sensible mods) in 50s Tele clothing (hence the very blonde look, black scratchplate and acres of chrome). It will be used for the first time with the gloves off this Thursday and I am really looking forward to hearing the Mississippi Queen through my MkII Marshall.

The plates that Jonathan mentions were made for me by engineers at Bosch and are the same thickness and chamfer as the scratchplate, unlike the stamped plates that you get on a Fender which look like a cheap (thin) afterthought. I also turned the pickup selector 90 degrees which fixes the daft 'random-pickup-selection-as-you-play' of the original Jag design. Jonathans suggestions for hardware and pickups have proved to be spot on too. He sold me on the idea of the Gotohs so I put a set on my old Gordon Smith. The custom-cut left handed earvana is also a very nice touch. The pickup quality goes without saying on this forum I suspect.

The logo was my solution to the fact that I love the way the fender logo and guitar name curls round the headstock on right handed fenders but on left handed ones it doesn't work, so they leave off the name of the guitar, which prompted a lot of people to ask me if old Jaguar was a cheap knock off. Fender headstocks on lefties look unfinished in my opinion.

Thanks again Jonathan. The Jagcaster was definitely worth the wait.

As a complete aside - I saw Foo Fighters at Wembley last night and Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones joined them for a blast through Rock & Roll and Ramble On. Fantastic.
