Yes the fingerboard wood is Macassar Ebony.
Sounds great - a little warmer than regular ebony perhaps
I'm hoping somewhere between ebony and rosewood

i really like mac ebony - but its dust seemed to irritate me so i tend to avoid it now :(

edit:  I sould say thats only the dust when working it - - it wouldnt be a problem playing the guitar!!!!

Oh, that does look great!  Very much more interesting than regular ebony.  I've got an old parts Strat with an ebony board, which I think may be Macassar.

But...I...do...not...have...GAS...anymore.

I don't.

Really.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

gaboon ebony can still be streaky - if its mostly black with grey streaks its  probably the usual stuff, if the streaks are brown to bright orange its more likely to be macassar.  the high contrast stuff tends to be a popular veneer for board room tables and contemporary furniture

Ok, here are my Pauls, a Gibson DC Special (had still EMGs and a GK-2A but has now BKP-91 and 92), the Epiphone/Miracleman&BlackDog, as well as the Edwards Relic, pictured with stock pickups, now having a VHII set in it.

It looks like a Brian May red special - I think it is the Burns one because of the tremelo.
So many pickups, so little time
