Has anyone else noticed...

on the mission metallica fly on the wall vids.. whenever het has a guitar and isnt recording.. hes flying about really fast on the higher frets..

i always knew he was a good lead player, but i wonder.... how good is he??

He should do some solos, without a wah wah would be good just for a change.

Hetfield did alot of the solo work on load and reload. Don't ask me wich ones. Just because the man is rhythm guitarist in Metallica, doesn't mean that's all he can do. I've seen him play the drums too and not half bad either.

Most of the harmony lines of Justice For All were Hetfield, as well as the harmony guitars on Orion.

also live now he plays the fast harmony parts in the four horsemen and rtl.

the only difference between his and kirks playing is he has a better tone and no wah.

Then again the recent live performances i've seen videos of kirk has cut down on the wah a hell of a lot.
