Irish Tour!
« on: June 15, 2008, 02:07:09 PM »
Hi i'am new to this forum.
I've been checking out the Irish Tour pickups and heard soundclips from guys whom posted thier audio clips online.I liked how the tone sounds but after reading a couple of reviews from harmony central , most of them are using rosewood fretboard . I'am wondering how does it sound on a full maple neck guitar.I'am using a american 57 RI stratocaster .

If I'm correct, the 1979 25th Anniversary Stratocaster has a full maple neck.
Johnny Mac made a clip, and here it is:

He has a lot of pedals on that rig but the IT's do a great vintage hot tone for strats so i don't see why you couldn't get that tone.
