:( That's horrible news. I'm always paranoid about my guitars going missing somehow. Hope you get it back.

Man i feel for you this happened to me almost two years ago they took my xbox my clothes my playstation my rg42dx and my vintage.

Thankfully they were kind enough to lock my kitten in a different room to the one they broke the window in so it wouldnt escape (or thats what i like to think, i try to find decency in the scummiest of people)

about 6-7 months ago i found one of the guitars ina  local music shop and got it back with the help of the police and the kind store owner who just asked me if i could describe any dings in odd places on the guitar.

After doing so he handed it back to me (minus the emgs and black OFRthat had been replaced with no name cream things and a gold LFR)

I hope you get your stuff back :)

The only photo I can find is a very small thumbnail, the original doesn't exist.

However, it does have the obvious triangle shape and a distinct 'ESP' at the bottom of the gigbag. I'll post it up.

It is part of this:

http://www.youpost.co.za/xzclf/-1/posts/2_FOR_SALE/24_music_inst_/25216_ESP_Edwards_Alexi_Laiho_V_Guitar_Children_Of_Bodom_.html

So you could message this guy for a picture of the guitar bag. He had it posted but it's gone.

Good luck again.

Thanks guys, much appreciated - I should have thought of Phils ebay ads! I think mine had white writing that was larger...if anyone can confirm that this is possible that would also be very helpful!

Thanks again

On a similar crime themed post, my car was vandalised last night . Some local person who is obviously expressing his or her anger and their frustration by wrecking the door mirror. As this is the 7th time this has happened over the years and these electrically controlled mirrors are around £200.00 per throw. Unfortunately they have also damaged the paint on the door too. I just wish they would have the courage to knock on my door and say to my face that they would like to damage my car.We could then go and "have a chat about it" and if they are still capable they are welcome to have a go..but no, they like to scurry around under cover of darkness. Hey ho, I shall expect the helpful Sussex Police to spring into action in a few days time and give me a crime reference( though in fairness they clearly have no chance with this sort of petty crime). I think I have their email address from last time
Sorry to hijack your thread Kevin but sometimes it helps to know that it ain't just you on the receiving end of the scum that roam our streets. I can just think of the gear I could have bought with that £200.00!

Hi 38th - I know, it is depressing, we all go out and work and save to buy stuff and others (who I'm sure get money out of our taxes in the first place) then go and rip us off directly...cheers for that, if we didn't work who would you steal off?!

Turns out they also nicked my DT250 headphones and my SM57..left my Xotic AC booster though, so not the brightest crims!

Good News - yesterday went down to local Police establishment and identified my guitar :) :) :)  I can't have it back yet though which is somewhat frustrating especially as it may not be until after a court case which could take up to 6 months. But anyway, huge pat on the back for the Hampshire constabulary :)

I know there are a few men of police here, so don't mean to be too rude, but it looks like the system has had a success!
I felt very bad for you, as I didn't expect it to turn up, and understand the sentimental value it brings.
Very pleased for you though, so I can't imagine how excited you are feeling now
