Done tonight in like 5 minutes with a patch from the Axe-Xchange patch download site, used the Edwards LP with open coiled VHIIs, middle position:

if you'd told me you mic'd your budda with some sort of obscure boutique delay i'd have believed you.

the axe fx seems to be a great (but expensive) thing. i'm interested in your experiences playing loud at band practises and gigs.

Guess this is gonna take a while, as in order to master this rig live you need:
-MIDI Controller (though I could use the Tonelab SE for this)
-Amplification, either FRFR or amp/cab

I recently played the XTC Model through the Bogner Shiva Poweramp, and the result was really amazing. Plugging back and forth with the Tonelab really revealed the difference, noise, artefacts, latency are really apparent, the Axe with the Shiva in fact sounded like an XTC Classic that I played once in a shop, I am not kidding.

I need some more time and patience with this to really get there ... time really is a maor issue, but I think it's worth investing.

i'm sure you know well the range of MIDI controller foot pedals out there.

even with my new semi-functional tone lab, i notice valve compression works already. for me this is the big point missing on older modelling solutions (i used to take a compressor pedal on my sansamp). i'm sure valve compression is done well on the AxeFX too.

the tonelab has latency and artifacts as you say, so its good the AxeFX solves this as well. you brought something really cool there i think - maybe your coolest thing so far!

of course we need to know if the has the "gutbusting" sound though - like its going to tear the speaker cones and rip your stomach out.

Best product ever would probably be something with the ease of use of the Tonelab SE and the sound quality of the Axe FX. The Axe is cool, but really a complexity monster, very un-guitar like ...
