Changed URL structure - Bad for Search Engine Listings
« on: July 08, 2008, 01:23:02 PM »

BKP forum lost all its listings as the new URL structure has not been communicated to Google it seems. See here and click the BKP link (2nd result) - not working :(

I noticed something like that the other day - but internal to the forum - I think I was trying to follow a link to a different post in one of the older threads.

I didn't report it because I was busy doing something else...  (might have been my actual job I was doing at the time )

Rule #1 if you change your URL structure, ALWAYS implement a #301 redirect to the new pages :O)
