What player or sound are these based on please?

Is the Holy Diver based on EVH's 80's Brown Sound? (5150 onwards)

The VHII is the EVH brown sound.

The Riff Raff is AC/DC, the Angus Young Sound.

yeah, i think you're right about the holydiver (it being EVH voiced). the riff raff is voiced on ACDCs sound.

Ok thanks for the answers. I thought the Holy Diver might have been EVH's later 80's sound which would be different to the earlier tone he had that the VHII's give. So it's the name of a Dio album eh! I know a girl who used to go out with one of his guitarists. I can't remember his name, though it might come back to me!

He is indeed. I've got an old Hot licks video he did in the 80's. Cool Stuff!

Hey Vivian the chin.

I remember him when he was still at school and playing in Sweet Savage.

Personally I found his playing a bit flash for my taste, pretty nice guy though.

I saw him recently with Def Leppard and it was great. He played only Les Paul's during the concert. And yes indeed they talked about the blues record about to come out.  :)
