Tim-Wiring Problems???

Iv been noticing a number of people complaining about wiring problems and BKPs not sounding like they are suppose to,

Are BKPs different than other pickups in terms of wiring and installation?

If i ordered a pair of pickups from you would my local guitar shop know how to install them right, or would i have to send my guitar in to you?

Can't say I've noticed anyone complaining that the pickups don't sound like they're supposed too, quite the contrary if you look through the forum.

BKPs are exactly the same to install as any other pickup and we include full wiring schematics as well as step by step instructions.

Our four conductor colour code is different to other manufacturers but then again everyone seems to have a different colour code. Our colour code is clearly marked out in the instructions that accompany any one of our new pickups.

The few installation hiccups you may have read in the forum have all been the result of non standard pickup cavities in guitars-this is quite unusual and the majority of guitars are routed with a full depth pickup cavity so won't cause any problems.

Installing pickups isn't difficult but if you've never done it before it's always best to go to an experienced guitar repairman to do the job.

If you bought pickups from us your local music shop/repairman would certainly be able to fit them without any trouble whatsoever. You'll also notice that wherever someone has had a problem we worked very hard to help them out.

+1 ... I almost made a big f'n mistake in assuming that the nickel covered pup would fit in the rout for my Kamikaze. It fits, just barely, but that was my own f'n mistake.

The BKs come with more, and clearer, documentation + ancillary stuff than I've ever seen. Plus, Tim's active on the forum ... if you have a Q you will get an answer straight from the horses's mouth. (For the time being, anyway ;) )
