The duo sonic looks pretty nice. it's a 24" scale if i remember rightly, but uses a conversion neck. So a 25.5" should fit like a glove.
you wouldn't use the meat knife on crusty bread but, equally, the serrated knife and straight edge knife aren't going to go through raw meat as quickly
