so i was at the grocery store...
« on: August 24, 2008, 06:55:34 AM »
backstory: i work at a restaurant, they sent me to the grocery store across the parking lot to buy stuff yet again. Anyways, last time i went there i flirted with this cute girl cashier, she could be around 17 or 18, im 20. She clearly knows i work at this restaurant seeing how i wear my chef coat over there (appetizer chef YEAH!). So i go in again today to get some 12 loaves of bread and shes there smiling and waving to me, because i mistakenly, like a dumbass, went to some old lady cashier instead of the cutie cashier. Anyways, so im trying to bag this bread, and the bag wont open, and cutie comes over from her cash and helps me bag... and it was all cute... and now i dont have the heart to tell her that this week is my last week because im moving to toronto for school... okay so toronto is only 25 mins drive away, but still, im not going to be coming back that often.

so do you think i should go back there tomorrow after work, look for her, and get her info? Lets hear it guys  :D
my maxon OD 808 really DOES make poop sound good

Definitely.

I've worked in Toronto, and it's so dull you'll need a distraction, even if it is 20 minutes away...

The answer has to be "yes" surely.

GO FOR IT!!!!

I'm 45, happily married (at last!), thankfully. But I can look back through my life and see lots of episodes like this where I was torn with doubts and ended up not doing anything. I can now sit back and look at the evidence of what happened, what was said, etc, and I realise - "hey, that girl really liked me... I could have asked her after all..."

What you've just described is one of those episodes- go for it, she likes you. The worse that can happen is she says no for some reason we can't predict (eg got a boyfriend, etc, etc). But even if she does say no, she'll be gentle and polite because she still likes you anyway...

Good luck :D

+1

I'm 44, single and probably staying that way.  But I can certainly identify with what Andy says; even I, Elephant-Man-alike though I am, have probably had a couple of golden opportunities I really should have taken.

I think that everyone of a certain age can identify with that...  If we knew then what we know now...

...  actually, we'd probably still be exactly where we are today!

Without a shadow of a doubt, as a fellow "oldie" grab your chances when you can. Otherwise..........(well there was this girl I was too shy to talk to....lets not go into that).

Absolutely go for it - if you don't so it you'll always wonder what may have happened. I nearly let it happen to me once but got the courage in the end. Been with my partner for 12 years now and have a little girl and a nice little life.

You need to let us know how you get on!
I think I hate being indecisive.

Yeah, go for it.
If she says no, well your 20 mins drive away, then you probably wouldn't see her too often anyway.

If she made the effort to come over to you then you have to try to see if it can go further.  The worst that can happen is she says no, and you are leaving anyway.  The fact you are leaving is also a great reason to talk to her.

i had a recent situation when one of my ex students( now 21 i should add) was telling me how much she had a crush on me... the truth is i had a real crush on her too and it was really nice to hear i wasnt just being a perv

but i have have been with my lady for 11 years now and the incedent above happened the day before my engagement party... and i must admit i am happy with the woman i have... better than she has ever been before (in many ways) so i have absolutly no reason to complain

so for your situation, if you are single.. go for it... i just wanted to mention that hot 21 year olds still want me... i want the world (and my fiancee) to know that

Do it, absolutely.

And if you don't, that wouldn't be very nice to the girl... what if she waits and waits and waits for you to come back and you don't? :(
