The Blackmachine B6 arrived on Wednesday morning. Doug mailed it on Monday in England, and it arrived on my door step on  Wednesday in New York, USA. TOTALLY SWEET! The B6 is everything I could ask for in a guitar.  The sound is resonant and sweet plugged in or not. Moreover, it just feels right, which is of major importance.

Pron and a review will have to follow in a new thread as soon as I get a little playing time in on it. There were some keen changes made to the B6 from what was shown on the Blackmachine web site, and I think most, if not all, were for the better. More on that later...

good god man, where are the pics!? :D

It is a little bland, but i suppose that is the point.  I do like the constancy of Rosewood extended up through the headstock.  It is more about the tone and playability with the Blackmachines though, i mean, i guess.  I don't really know because i have never played one; maybe... someday...  PDT_049

So the bodies are now swamp ash like the B2/B7s? I played Dougs #1 B6 a few months back, the one with the idigbo body & C-Pig/Pig set and that guitar was a massive amount of fun... I'm interested to try a swamp ash one now. Still, it means that my B7 is nearer completion!!  8)
A-Pig 7s, Miracle Man & Mule, Cold Sweats... Expensive kit and no talent posse.

so how much cheaper are these 'cut down' models? suppose you still get all that BM quality and feel without the premium for having a top made from a 3000-year old piece of wood formerly used as a table during the last supper.
