Thanks for all who appreciate what it is. I have more ornate guitars to be sure, but the Blackmachine had a familiar feel to it right from the start and it is moving right into the #2 spot in my line up, (my SG is #1 for reasons beyond your comprehension).
I have not had a chance to lay down any tru oil on it yet, however, it seems as though Doug may have put a coat or two on it. The American Swamp Ash has a great reverberant sound to it, and I am digging the reverse headstock like the B2. The Indian Rosewood on the fret board and headstock feels as good as it looks. I thought I would have preferred Ebony, but it really doesn't matter. The naked English Maple neck has a wonderful feel to it, and it seems as if it is faster than my other guitars with Nitrocellulose, and varnish finished necks. I would have loved for this to be a B2 but I guess it just is what it is. Cheers!
