Tips on vocals?
« on: September 01, 2008, 12:15:43 AM »
Anyone got any good tips? I`m starting to TRY and sing like Pantera and shite. I also want to make myself a better band member by being able to sing backup vocals.

I`m embarassed to sing out loud though with people around :P

I'd go find a vocal coach.

There are so many techniques that can help, and if you get it wrong (particularly with the screachy stuff) you can do serious damage to your throat.

Get this DVD:

It's not just for metalheads, it's an overall vocal coaching and warmup routine. There is a part 2 DVD which also looks specifically at metal singers.
