Thanks Phil, that's cheered me up.  Although I suspect that "formula" was invented by a man...
But look like they (girls) like too... I'm seen at least 50% of the 20ish girls dating (or wanting to) 40yo guys... :?

I was looking at those Gunslingers today. Alder body, Original Floyd Rose, DiMarzio Super Dist for about £350. Sounds tempting!

Thanks everyone, I was looking for an original koa mockingbird but they have got very expensive now, and Warmoth had this body in the sale section, so that was it!  I'm still messing with the wiring, but it is sounding really nice.

Loving that Mockingbird dude.

Preparing to have stones hurled at me but I actually quite like the Beast shape, heh. But I'd like to point out that several other B.C Rich shapes make me look away in disgust, namely the Ironbird, Dagger, Stealth, Virgin, Virgo, Warbeast and Zombie. I think they also had one called a Widow or something that looked like some kid had a go at a block of wood with an Axe and they just put a neck and strings on it.

B.C Rich are definitely guilty of some crimes against taste, but some of them are the opposite extreme and make me salivate.  :D

Yeah, love the Mockingbird. :D

I really like the early BC Rich shapes - the Mockingbird, Bich, Eagle (not so sure about the original Seagull).  But then they started doing the more pointy "metal" shapes and I've never been so keen on them - the Warlock is OK but I think the later ones are all pretty ugly.

I do have a bit of a soft spot for the Stealth because Rick Derringer designed it.

I have an original made in USA BC RICH Gunslinger from '88 that has been upgraded and pimped
Seriously good player - slim neck - about 42mm at the nut and 56.5 at the heel
I changed the trem to a new Original Ibanez Edge as the chrome OFR  that I had used for 10 years looked odd as it was the wrong colour. Wicked paint job - the silver flakes all change colour as the light hits them
Guitar has one of the best fret jobs I've ever done (Dunlop 6000)
Will sell it for £799 (+£50 if you want the Hiscox case it lives in)

The other one that has some BC Rich heritage is this baby
It has a USA made BC Rich body from 1990, that I added a great burr veneer to and refinished the guitar
Neck is one of mine..........
It features a Gotoh Floyd and a Double screw coil BKP Miracle Man
Will sell it for £599 (+£50 if you want the Hiscox case it lives in)

^Very nice.
I love the look of gunslingers, the only things that worries me about the new ones is that they're MIK and the nut is 45mm, whereas I'm used too, and get on best with, 41mm.
Laney, Charvel and BKP

Black covered Nailbomb that I want to trade for a Warpig/Riff Raff, PM me

GAS UPDATE!

OK, I've been searching for these new Gunslingers as if they were the holy grail but to no avail..  :(

Rosetti only had 8 scheduled to arrive in the UK and nobody who has advertised them has or will now be getting them as the Korean production facility has been moved.

Well...

I've got my order in for one of the new batch and am hoping to see it Jan/Feb next year... so much for the logical birthday present idea.  :?

To satiate my GAS in the short term
  • I've ordered a Duncan Twin Tube Mayhem Pedal
  • I've got another trip to Feline on Tuesday to get a "non BKP" pickup loaded into my strat.

So that's a little to look forward to...  PDT_015
