Have you ever played a Nailbomb Ben?
It’s a popular choice because it is so versatile, It can sound as heavy as S**t if you want it to.
If some one said I want a Dimebag kind of tone, then yes I would suggest a Miracle man, but because of the wide range of tones and players they are looking for I thought it would be best to go with a more versatile pickup choice.
Alnico powered pickups can still get that tone... Tim gets a Zakk tone from an alnico IV Mule, one of our lowest out put pickups.
Again if some one asks for a passive equivalent to an EMG I would suggest a Warpig, which is again alnico V.

Hi and welcome to the forum :D sorry I'm a little late chimming in on this one
A great all round HSH set that'll handle driven metal tone, saturated shredding tone and still have a nice clean tone would be a Nailbomb HSH which features either a Trilogy suite middle if you require alot of gain from all 3 or something like an Irish Tour if you'd like to mix in some true vintage tone. The light basswood bodies on the Ibanez guitars really lend themselves to fatter toned pickups as they help to balance out the guitar tonally. The BKP Nailbomb demo was done on an RG550 which will give you a good idea.

The other alternatives as a Miracle Man HSH which will have a great tight and fast bass response and very smooth, almost scooped mid feel, or a Warpig set.Warpigs are awesome for shredding as there's so much gain on tap they make playing almost effortless, they also have a surprisingly good clean tone due to the Alnico V magnets and also split down well too.
Have a good listen to all the various clips that myself and all the other forum members have posted and see if you find anything that catches you ear.
If you need anymore help email or PM me direct and I'll do my best to get you sorted out :)

Well...I like my Nailbombs in my RG, they hav a more aggressive mid than the miracle man in the bridge, so I may suggest going for a Nailbomb neck/trilogy/Miracle Man bridge.

The neck Nailbomb humbucker has quite an open sound - sounds great on Malmsteen/Becker type neck runs, but the Miracle Man bridge offers a tighter bass, but less mids. If you want mids go for a Nailbomb set.

The Nailbombs sound better clean than the Miracle Man pups!
