Pretty sure you won't be disappointed Dave. I have one, and I definitely approve! It really can make the politest amp in the world sound like something Slayer should be playing through.
Warpigs.

OK... Post Purchase Evaluation.

Came through really quickly from Stringsdirect this morning / ordered yesterday at 3.15ish! + Great customer service and a price match.

After getting it unboxed and thinking what a very nice and solid pedal it is I started reading the very human and humourous safety instructions.

After watching the Duncan Demo video, I plugged in expecting a wall of gain from 25% on the dial upwards... not so.

100% valve dynamics YES but not that brutal  PDT_036

So I let it warm up and savoured that mild "components getting hot for that first time" smell... whilst feeling a little disappointed.

After a bit of time I've now learnt to understand just how good it is.

The amount of gain on offer here is indeed huge but it works very closely alongside the wide range of tone manipulation.

The Mayhem rewards time dialling it in.

It's gonna take much longer to really get the most out of it but I've tried it quickly with my BKP'd guitars and..

On the same somewhat neutral "silly grin" (gain = 65%) setting I found:

It LOVES the Uber Sinner in the bridge of my Ash Strat.

It really brightens up a Warpig.

The Miracle Man is almost too razor sharp in tone (Nice for some but not my cup of tea and I'm sure I just need to redial the e.q. for a Ceramic pickup).

I will keep revisiting this thread as I get to know the Mayhem but in summary it does turn easily the clean channel of the sh!t transistor combo I have to use in my flat into a very flexible high-gain valve option.

Nice.  PDT_015
