Strats to me are the blank perfect canvas.

If you can't cut it on a strat.. YOU CAN'T CUT IT.. period.

I couldn't have put it better myself Dave!

My Charvel is a piece of piss to play but my strat isnt. One doesn't do the TONES of the other so you have to try harder. It is all about sound to the listener.

tbh i dont think this is any sign the forum is going down hill... if this was that sort of forum it would have turned to juvenile insults and attacks when all we really have is some gentle ribbing between friends

Lets all remember this !!

I used to really like them but totally gone off them now. They're just so bloody boring to look at. And they sound a bit limp :o

Cmon! A holydiver doesn't sound as limp as a mule  :P

I really love Strats- I have two and I'd gladly buy another when I retire my old Strat. I am in a minority, I am pleased to say, in that I do use the middle pickup but that was only after the pickups were replaced with BKPs. I love the shape and the feel and think that they are the icon they are because they are classic in every regard. I don't expect everyone to like what I like and really do not care if others don't like them. There are guitars that I cannot stand and I know that some will disagree. The good thing with these threads though is that they generate some amusing stuff-which is possibly why Dave started it off-at least I'd like to think so. I'll have to start one of these threads methinks......well maybe not.

Who would have guessed back in the playground that we could one day out fox the youth with such a conversation...
