Well, me and the family are heading to Portugal next May - you'll have to recommend us some sights.

Fernando,  I was born in Sweden to English parents and have lived in England for the vast majority of my life.  I was looking at getting duel nationality a while back (mainly as I'm sure I could do some money fiddles, but that's a long story).  One thing my folks said to me put me off though (and to be honest I never looked it up, but it certainly sounds about right).

I really want to move to New Zealand and one day probably will, but if me and queeny move over there and have kids, then we might have trouble getting themback into the UK if we ever decided to move back.  This might not be a problem as that hat definately makes you look gay  :P , but it might be worth looking into before you sign any paper, especially if you meet a nice girl abroad who isn't Brazilian (but hopefully has one).
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

I'm sorry, never been in Portugal (yet)...
I can ask my uncle, he went to the place where the grampa born: Arneiro das Milhariças... Believe also Lisboa and perhaps other cities... Will ask him for hints!

ToneMonkey, thanks for the part of the hat
I'm not guy but I don't have girlfriend nor any kind of serious "date" going, so I'm not worried about it, but I would only get a relationship if meet a really nice girl, what would twist some part of my plans, surely...

You said moving back from New Zealand would be a trouble because of the kids feeling bad in moving abroad, not about papers problem, right? But not sure about the money... didn't get it...

The biggest problem I think I would face if I return to Brazil after the try is: adapt again to that chaos, no laws, etc... Not sure if I have the chance to live in Europe I would like to move back, even more if I have kids while living there... Why would I move back to a place that is worse to the kids than the place I would be living? :D

Sorry mate, probably didn't explain myself too well.  Currently, although being born in Sweden, I am English.  I have an English passport and everything.  However, if I was to have duel Swedish/English nationality and had children when living abroad in any country.  Then it may be legaly difficult (or at least not as easy) to move back to the UK with the kids.  I probably wouldn't have an issue getting back into the UK, but the kids may have to go through an immigration process as they may not be classed as properly English.

Now since you're not in a relationship at the minute, it's possible that you could meet a girl in Portugal and have kids at some stage in your life.  If you did, but one day decided to move back to Brazil and take your family, then you might have difficulty as you wouldn't be fully Brazilian anymore and your family wouldn't really be Brazilian at all.

Dunno maybe someone else could explain it better I'm still in work mode.  :D

In my case, I'm still brazilian and portuguese... If I have children, they will be the nacionality where they born and for what I understand I'll be able to get portuguese nationality to them (if it is still avaiable at the time, I believe not, looking at the wave in Europe against immigration)

Each country has it's law for nationality given to sons... I know some has restrictions about how many generations can get it, today portugal has no restriction... I have no clue about English law about, If I were you, I would get a look at the laws about it, perhaps your kids can take the English nationality, perhaps not... Some has restriction about male or female, as Italy... If the wife is Italian, her children won't be able to nationality (if not her children, her grandsons), if the husband is Italian, them they can get it...
