Yeah, Ashdown actually handled it themselves, by handled I mean denied anything was wrong with it, even though both I and sound control insisted there was, so I got my money back. Ashdown can cram that amp right up their arses for all I care, a chimp would have recognised there was something wrong with it. I'm gonna save my pennies for the real deal.

I've got to the bottom of this.....

Ashdown have already been producing the Essex Blonde. Only the first 50 were made by Matamp and they went in April/May. Since then they've been building them in house, rumor has it there's big problems with hum...Jeff knows about 3 cases already, plus yours now.....

He knows about mine as well as it happens, as far as the ones Matamp put together, the first 10 is what I was told, the rest was just Ashdown putting together "kits" I suppose.

I know of 25, I played them all.....the next 25 could have been kits or play tested by one of the other guys. I'm not sure how many Matamp made ones got on sale in the UK - they may be scattered....there is an Essex Slag somewhere in the world - the wonders of engraving your own front panels... :lol:
