Mixing pickups: HD + SM?
« on: December 08, 2008, 01:21:13 PM »
Hey guys.

As per my last thread asking for pickup suggestions for my Eggle Climaxe Guitar, I think I've decided on a HolyDiver for the bridge position. Normally in the past Id've gone for the calibrated neck pickup, but having never read anything about the HD neck pickup, am thinking something from the vintage camp may be more fitting.

Could anyone see any issues with a Stormy Monday neck not balancing with a HD bridge in an Ash bodied guitar with Floyd Rose?

Cheers

To save me a truck load of typing, have a read of my posts (& the linked clips) here & here

:-)

I've never had (or even tried) a Stormy Monday so really can't comment on its suitability...

I'd buy a set of HDs.  The gamble might not pay off...
