I'm trying to fight my current bout of LP GAS. Websites like this really aren't helping:

I've heard mixed reports about that guy.  He's expensive and not always accurate with descriptions.

Buy with caution...

Yep - read this on another site somewhere. I thought he was stupidly overpriced at first and then realised his prices were in euros! I now know he is only overpriced. Still way too expensive for me though!

Occasionally he moves stuff on eBay when it has been sitting there a while - look out for listings under the name of

generalunrest

Would agree about the pricing and accuracy of condition comments as per previous - I have a guitar from him as do the other 2 guitarists in our band - one guy bought an Orville gold top LP that was pretty good but other guy got a Greco that was not up to the description. Turns out that my Greco was MIK not MIJ as he though too. Condition was A1 though.

What about Twinfan's Signature LP? Did that get flogged?

There is another guy in Switzerland - dboyles123 - who also flogs stuff on the Bay.

Good luck!

Ian - this is very 'Manics' and at £325 not a bad price either - might be worthwhile getting a second opinion on that headstock crack though

He's supposed to be an 'expert', and should know Korean from Japanese.  ANd he charged you the Japanese price I bet?  That's inexcusible

It's had a pickup swap and I'm keeping it for rehearsals  :)

In fairness (and maybe I am being a little too charitable here) it was very tough to tell - no serial, no Made in X stickers or marks, Gotoh hardware - eventually I traced it via Greco themselves who told me it was a limited run made for 1 year only in Korea. (It is the PRS-alike in my avatar) - I paid £300 for it, so not a disaster and it is a really nice guitar - now that it has some BKPs in it and locking Sperzels - more like an Eggle!
