Best choice for basswood Ibanez?

Hey guys new here and about to stick my toes into the world of BKP's. I am getting a like new Ibanez RG2610 which is a single hum basswood RG style guitar. Right now it has a Cold Sweat in it, but the seller has given me the option of a Nailbomb instead if I so choose. I play mostly metal and the CS sounds like it would be great w/ it's tightness and articulation, but I worry that it wont be able to handle the real heavy stuff. How would these compare in basswood? Also the guitar is black with white binding and the CS is white. Looks great. The nailbomb would have the satin black cover and I fear would not look as good. Opinions please. Here is a pic of the axe in question.

I'd stick with the CS, personally. The NB is a great pickup, but more a brutal riffing pickup, imo, than a lead pickup. Of course, it probably depends as much on your amp, etc, as it does on your guitar.

Liking the look of that, dheim!
Also, a miracle man (with aged nickel!) will look superb (and sound even better) in that axe :)
Especially if it's articulation you want ;)

NB or CS, I would stick to the Cold Sweat

if you're intending to downtune keep the sweat
but if you're playing in E standard, maybe the nailbomb might be better
the cold sweat is already very tight and sharp, and I wouldn't put one in basswood for lighter tunings
but it's my favorite bridge pickup in mahogany, along with the holy diver

Thanks guys. My choices are limited to the CS and NB. I would go with a MM if I could, but that is not an option. I am just going to stick with the CS. I have given it some thought and have 3 guitars that can play the brutal stuff and before I picked this one up I was looking for more of a 80's metal type vibe (old Kramer, Charvel, etc.) so with a little more thought I think I would prefer this one to have a more shreddy 80's vibe to it. As for tuning it is set up in B standard right now with a 12-52 set. Not sure if I will keep it that way, but I'll give it a shot. The seller said it sounds awesome. Oh and I have no real preference for magnet type. I like many pickups that use Alnico V and many that use ceramic magnets.

nice :D
then keep the CS
it definitely sounds more 80ish and will be tighter and more articulated in B

Well being the indecisive SOB I tend to be, I went over this in my head a million times as well as watched every video clip and listened to every audio clip I could find of both pickups and decided that the Nailbomb would fit my needs much better. So now I will be getting the Ibanez with a Nailbomb with matte black cover. Should be pretty awesome. I think the thicker tone of the Nailbomb would be better in basswood. I am afraid the CS may have been too bright.

I also e-mailed Tim a couple of days ago and he replied today and recommended the NB for my needs. He also said the Warpig would sound great, but it was not an option I had.

Good man, but it will be going better when I get my BKP equipped Ibby. It would be even better if I was getting a BKP for the Horus too. But I can see a Warpig in it's future as well. :)

The Nailbomb will have slightly more bite and crunch without the cover. I'd consider one with open coils.
