Twinfan using VHIIs and Cold Sweats live on YouTube!
« on: December 14, 2008, 05:15:37 PM »
Doppelganger had a Christmas Party gig last night, and I've been updating our MySpace and Facebook pages with some video footage we had taken.  Thought you folks may be interested in seeing/hearing them?

In both these clips there are two guitars, but as I'm the lead for these two songs you can hear me more clearly (I'm louder!):

This is my Jackson Dinky fitted with VHIIs:  http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=zoA04_89BT8&fmt=18

This is my McCarty Korina with Cold Sweats:  http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=236VdAKsX88&fmt=18

Both sets of BKPs work really well live, and they're my main two guitars in this band  :)

Very nice. Not easy to play with that tone as it's very direct, you're smak in the middle of the mix there.

I couldn't help but notice a little Angus like walk there but it wasn't let out fully :O)

I'm not sure what you mean Hunter?  "Not easy to play with that tone as it's very direct"?

Not easy in what way?  I find it very easy!

Well I mean it, the less FX and smoothing gain one uses, the more fight there is, but you get the revenue in form of a very direct, dynamic tone. Often you see these kinda clips and the guitar tone is buried in reverb and gain and sizzle, which is all here not the case ...

Ah - I get you.  Yep, it's very direct and really natural and responsive.  I have to have that 'feel' in my rig.  A bit of chorus (my Tonerider Superlush) and a bit of overdrive (Cornell Overdrive Special) was the only thing on those clips, apart from the guitar and the amp.  Albeit a very nice guitar and a very nice amp  ;)

Should sound even better with the Celestion Gold speakers that arrive tomorrow......

Nice playing and tones but it looks like you're playing in a prison :fouet:
