That sounds like a Morley.......Vai must be a genius to make one sound good!!

I thought Vai's Bad Horsie was a lot better than the other Morleys...

I wish Id b00dy known that before I bought it.  I just got the jist that I was supposed to stay away form crybabies.   I think im just gonna get myself a WD7.

I second that.  Most of the crybabys do next to nothing at all.. very weak and sometimes very hard to tell if they are on or off...

If you want a classic sounding wah get a Vox... it pisses all over all the Crybabies!!!

Well I like mine (Bad Horsie II).  Had a crybaby years ago and sold it when I started using my old Boss GT-5.  So far the Bad Horsie Wah sounds nicer than both of those.

I have a Bad Horsie & really like it.  It certainly sounds better than the pro series wah (which I used to have).

Aside from the fact that I like the sound, it's also the best wah design EVER :)  You put your foot on the pedal, it turns on; you take your foot off, it turns off - what could be simpler?

No more missing the switch on crybaby style designs, or trying to catch the button on pro series with your heel & unlike any other wah you start at the bottom of the sweep rather than the top.  Plus it's built to take as much abuse as you could possibly throw at it...

I liked it so much I went out & bought a spare in case they discontinue it

If anyone has a vox v847 or crybaby gcb95 wah i highly recommend doing a few of the mods from this page:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/s.castledine/greenfuz/wah.html

I find these pedals quack too much to be any use to most heavy footed guitarists. I have done the vocal mod (changed to 100K) and the sweep range mod (changed to 0.33uf) to both of these pedals.  Suddenly i had wah pedals that were very easy to use with a much improved sound and better sweep.  I tried other values but these are the ones i prefered.  I want to try some vintage style inductors as well but thats for another day.
