like the whole women can wear just about what they want in the work place however men have to wear a shirt and tie...

women don't really have it all equally either, not by a long shot.

plus the "being able to wear what you want" is a double-edged sword, as it's much harder to choose what you wear. men can look like cr@p and blame it on tradition or being forced to wear it.

I don't care about that rapper shite, they say all sorts or cr@p like that in their rubbish songs anyway, but this women can wear what they like and men can't thing has pissed me off for a very very long time, especially the tie part.

Though i will say, what the hell else would men wear that looks smart and professional? not much, mens fashion is utterly boring.

I don't mind the suit, i just hate the tie...  if the tie was made optional (and it SHOULD) then i'd not be fussed at all, either that or force women to wear one too.

I hardly ever wear my tie, just suit and shirt.

Being honest, I'm getting sick of hearing the term "first black preseident" on our news.  I understand that he's the first black person they have let in the white house who wasn't carrying a mop, but now he's just a president and should be judged as such.

I couldn't open the vid, so can't really commment on that.  But as probably the only white guy I know who has ever had racism against him (back in Sweden), I can safely say that racism in either direction should be stamped out.  Although we can keep the jokes, they make me laugh (including black peoles jokes about white people, jokes about the Irish etc)
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

I'm getting a bit fed up being called an infidel pig. I'm getting a bit fed for being blamed for slavery while there is a fair chance my ancestors lived in serfitude.

It's not just the white people who were involved in slave trade, you know.

Yeah, it's really just a matter of time scale.  We could probably all claim to have "slave names" too, if we could trace our ancestry back far enough.

yeah, and not all whites profited from it either.

you guys pissed off with ties, i'm sure you can wear women's clothes to work if you wish, there's probably an EU human rights regulation on it...

;)

EDIT: to get serious for a moment, i don't like ties, men's fashion etc. either, but to say women have the long end of the stick is at best misguided, and at worst, plain wrong. men aren't judged on how they look (by and large), we can just get ready in about 5 minutes if needs be. not the same for women.

I think that the rapping was stupid but I wouldn't take it too seriously-like I said before, most would dismiss it. It is a bit rich though that "Bill O" gets on his high horse. He is perpetuating it for his own reasons. If he cared about racism he would condemn all racism wherever it was directed.

Not where I come from... at least the younger ones, seem to spend more time on their looks than the girls :s

The start of American Psycho :P my old neighbour idolised that, has more foundation than his girlfriend, and has a two hour routine every morning.
