Well it's arrived here at work :)
It looks very much like the pic, which is a good start. The flame is a tad more subtle in real life. Condition of the guitar is excellent, just a cracked neck pickup ring and a fairly 'used' case - which I'm guessing explains the price, although Coda are really good on the price of used gear. They must shaft people on trade-ins! :o
I'm assuming it's had a pickup swap at some point and someone screwed the ring back on too tight. I've got a set of cream rings that will fit knocking about though, so that's an easy fix. I'll swap them over when the pickups I have earmarked for it arrive ;)
The neck feels really nice - super smooth and 'organic' with the lack of finish. The guitar seems pretty resonant too, how much the neck has to do with that I don't know. All in all, it's a classy little number!
I'll give it a quick blast tonight at home, before I take it to DC rehearsal to try it at volume - cranked JTM45 with Celestion Gold 2x12. Hmmm, lovely........
