Thanks for that :D (bear in mind I don't really know what I'm talking about, I just like what I like )

I was actually about to post on the following when I saw that ^

but feeling a bit guilty myself now, since some people are clearly annoyed by the N?D threads, and I have just posted a potentially redundant thread about my netbook. apologies for that, and i'll stop posting about new gear in the future unless its a bit rare or whatever.

Don't do that! There's always something useful to someone in all of these N?D threads... None of us, as individuals, are going to find all of the N?Ds interesting or even appealling, but that's ok, we can just ignore or skim read those... twould be a shame to lose all of this shared info just because we aren't capable of liking/enjoying every single thread... :D

Yeah, absolutely.  If someone starts a thread about their new Engl Savage or NOS Mullard valves I tend not to read it - because it's not of any great interest to me.

But I don't subsequently harbour a deep resentment against whoever started that thread.  :P

I like seeing all the interesting stuff people get, I usually learn something when I open a NGD thread and that can only be a good thing.

One thing that is worthwhile about the whole New Gear threads is that you can get some insight into gear that you may have wanted to buy yourself.

Also interesting to watch the lifespan from NGD to seconds Out..... :(
