I agree with Broken Cord.

Scotty more played some killer riffs, licks and solos. Great live tone with that amp cranked and a hollow body Gibson with P90's.

He stood in the shadow of Elvis, one of the greatest artists ever. Those first two albums of Elvis that shaped that changed the world forever would never have been so good and influential without Scotty.

He was never seen as a 'guitar god'. Anyone who recognizes Scotty Moore as a great guitarist is a connaisseur.

But he rarely gets a mention in things like this. Mind you, neither does Julian Bream.  :D
