I'm staying home. I don't want to risk driving a 32 tonne lorry in these conditions and neither do my employers.
Right where's the Scotch!!  :D

Had a web site release this morning (big online system) so had to get up at 5am to get to Hammersmith for 6:30 ... which I managed (well, by 7am in the end) only to discover the release is cancelled :-(
Now I'm wondering if I'm going to get home again ...
If you're anywhere in London I would stay in bed, half the tube is off line and most of the overland trains. And I saw only 2 cars on the Fulham Palace road which is usually a permanent traffic jam ...

Still, everything looks pretty!!

The buses arent running over my way too (leeds/huddersfield)

I got up early

got to bus stop for th e 5.30 no show

7:00 - no show

7-30 no show

so i went home called my manager

said id try for the 8:00 one

no show

so called him again he said dont worry get home so i dont catch my death and hes gonna give me an extra days annual leave and mark it as if id booked it off even though i still have 7 days left.

So all in all other than freezing to death for 2 hours... RESULT !

I'm bang on the south coast, and we hardly ever get any snow, even though 5-10 miles inland they might have several inches.

However, today we have about 3 inches and it's still falling. My daughter's school is closed, so I'll just be looking after her today.

 Snowman anyone ?

As usual London's transport system has ground to a near halt.

I might be able to get a train, or I could walk the 3 miles to Brixton and get the Victoria Line, but since the snow's not stopping I'm more worried about getting home again tonight once it freezes up again.

Day's holiday I think.  I can put my new Callaham bridge on my Strat.  :)

I've been up all night enjoying the snow. Filling bins packed with snow, making snow angels, making snowmen, snowball target practice, etc.

I love it. My whole campus looks like a bubble bath factory exploded.

Gonna get some sleep till 11.30 now.

I'm stuck in Bushey (near Watford) at my girlfriends place, I haven't seen snow this deep in years. Doesn't look like I'm going home till wednesday morning

All the roads I go on to get home have been closed or major delays, So I wouldn't even think of getting in my car.

I'm work with a Swede, who is very confused by all the chaos caused by a "little bit of snow". We are apaprently all wimps, especially the ones complaining about having to walk in the snow :P
