Axe / VHT / Bogner video
« on: February 07, 2009, 05:21:15 PM »

I was kinda inspired by that Martamp, so I also put my laptop there to do some recording.
It's the Edwards with VHIIs. (maybe soon Mules or SMs)

I like! you use quite a gainy tone for the classicy stuff you play.

youtube often 'recommends' me your videos :D

I should get my Bogner cab in a couple of weeks!

that is a nice sound.. especially to say its a modeler.

more natural sounding than most.. i suspect the valve power section adds the life.

Then you will have to see how to integrate the Martamp. I could imagine though that the Axe preamp/FX amplified by the Martamps power section and cab would be nice. Does the Mart have an FX return or power amp in?

Yes indeed, I didn't get such overtones and airy high end with the SS power section I used before. It's a different league. I gotta say that the VHT is also a very good amp. The Class A you can chose by channel, and sometimes I run the 4x12 in A/B and the ported 2x12 in Class A, and it's pretty amazing.

The VHT in class A sounds exactly like my good ole Superdrive 30 by the way!

Ye I had an fx-loop put in. I may just buy a secondhand high gain head and some pedals, either way I need some heavy RAWK tones

Well, the latest addition of the VHT has shown me again, the poweramp makes the sound to a big extend. So you could keep that Martamp vibe and still add the versatility of the most powerful modeler/multi fx on the planet. I woud be curious to hear an Axe through that Martamp power stage and cab.
