I had never heard of this before today. Just watched it and can say that it is an awesome video. With more than 41 million views on youtube I have no doubt that many on here have seen it before. For those of you that haven't click on the link below!

Wow, never seen anything like that even having spent manyyy hours watching animal channels, discovery etc, pretty damn cool and heroic, now thats what i call loyalty! 8)

Sure is, what surprised me was that when the herd came surrounding the lions they seemed pretty calm. i thought the lions would have been smart enough to get the hell out of there haha, i guess they werent used to being overpowered  8) I thought it was pretty cool that the little one actually survived.
Really epic! More people have to watch this clip!

.... with only a mortal wound or two to show for it ;)

the clip is great though, the lions really didnt seem to have a clue what to do

That's a fantastic sequence of events on that film clip! We were watching that in the office at work last Christmas.

There's a Leopard one attacking a park ranger which is so explosively violent its really quite scary! The bloke was prodding a leopard in the back of their vehicle to release back in the wild and it reacted.....like a wild animal!

although the 'little one' did walk away I agree with Wez. I really don't see how it couldn't have had some very severe wounds. Basically it was the rope in a tug of war competition between a group of lions and a crocodile! I would be surprised if it survived for long after it walked away.
