Pete and I programmed the drums ourselves (mainly Petey for this one), and the sounds are courtesy of the standard Logic drum software which we're hoping to be able to ditch for Superior 2.0 in the very near future.

Btw, would you guys mind giving some pointers on how you actually record using these impulses? Where do you get the IRs, what software do you need etc? I'd really like to give it a shot myself :)

Well, first you need a suitable VST/AU program. If you're using a mac, I recommend LA Convolver, if you're on windows then I think Voxengo Boogex is what most people go for. Both are free. The scout around for some cabinet impulse files, lots of people upload them on forums. www.guitarampmodeling.com is a good place to start.
Then hook up your preamp to your interface, and load up an impulse of your choice.

I've only just spoken to Nolly for the first time in about 3 days, and I updated this 2 days ago to an extended version with a solo. The bit at 2:28 you mean is supposed to be a sweep pattern, but I'm pretty new to sweeping, and didn't want to just skimp out at the end of it, so I recorded each note, trimmed it down to the right length, and placed them in the right position, so it sounds like an absolutely mind blowingly perfectly played sweep. I'm not one for cheating when recording, but in this case I had no other choice.

This is bollocks. Pete sweeped them with his face at twice the speed, then time stretched it back to the correct tempo.

Holy santa clause shite this is amazing.

This is instantly in my top favorite songs from the forums I post in. Good sirs this, IMHO, sits uppon the same pedistal that I hold Bulb.

Also, amazing tone. I'm looking into buying a set of BKP's for my 7string and I might just have to consider the Painkiller now.
