Broken through the 5000 posts barrier!
« on: February 23, 2009, 03:34:23 PM »
Well it's been on the cards for a little while, and now I've hit 5000 posts on the forum.  Not as many as some others, but certainly a hell of a lot!

I joined on 9th January 2006, asking for pickup advice (as we all do):  http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2419

The first BKPs I bought were a set of Riff Raffs for my Epi SG when I joined YC/DC?, and I'm still loving that guitar and band.  I've since bought and sold a bunch of BKPs, guitars, amps and effects in my tone quest and I think I've finally reached a point of stability.  The task from here onwards is to get the best out of my playing.

I've learnt a hell of a lot from everyone on here about all aspects of music and gear, so thanks to you all!

Dave

Congrats! :D

A celebratory NGD is called for mebbe?

I was well-chuffed when I reached 1000 the other week - the count itself obviously, but it was more the fact that I consider this place interesting/friendly enough for me to stick around that long...

well, i've got a few posts myself, not as many as you obviously dave, but its amazing how quickly they add up. can't remember what my first post was... but my first BKP set was riff raffs!

honestly, once i get over a certain number of posts i wish they'd stop counting them as it just makes me look sad... you want enough not to be classed as a noob, but that's about it. :D EDIT: it's a really cool forum- nice people who act like normal people, most of the time. also i like how it's UK-centric (mainly), as a lot of the other forums are always talking about gear which is good value in the USA, but terrible value here...

I'm close to you Jonny, 7 days, 15 hours and 49 minutes.  I joined on April 10th, 2005, but I got my first BK's in 2004.  I was an awkward sod already then and didn't buy a set, I got an Emerald/AIV Mule set for a Les Paul and a Crawler/BKP91/BKP91 for a PRS EG4!  Since then I have bought more than 70 other BK pickups and have them in more than 35 guitars!
So many pickups, so little time
