Yep, I traded it in for my Modern Eagle, along with my all mahogany Mira, for two reasons:

1)  I had to fund the Eagle somehow!
2)  I didn't get on 100% with 24 fret necks

I wondered where that blue thing in your avatar came from......

PhillyQ - at the moment I am hatching a cunning plan to pick up either an Orville By Gibson Les Paul or SG.....

Mira is lovely but I reckon that I could get both for the same or less money - depends if the missus will carry a guitar back from Japan.....

I think you'll be doing well to get them both for under a grand, but.... pics when you've got 'em!  :)

But if I told you that I was going to Japan in April would you think that I had a better chance??

Going rate on Yahoo Japan for ObGs -  Les Paul is about £350-450 in good nick (not mint but not bad) - SG is around £250! - Yes, crazy isn't it!

That sounds good - and also suggests the Japanese dealers who sell on eBay are making a very tidy little profit!

If you could avoid the VAT and import duty you'd really make a killing.

"Well, Mr Customs Officer... It's just my guitar that I took on holiday with me... And I always pack it well to make sure that it doesn't get damaged!"

Let's see how the buying process goes!
