Can I put Warpigs in a Schecter C-1 Hellraiser?

I've never changed my pickups and i've looked on Schecter's website for measurments of the pickups but I can't find them. So I was just wondering if anyone here had any helpful advice or experience.

I know nothing about pots  :( Can you be more specific or maybe an explanation? They're what you connect to the pickup to control the volume i thought.

Basically your Hellraiser has EMGs in it. When changing to BKPs or basically any of the usual pickups, you have to change your pots too.

I found this, and thought it could be a nice answer:

"The EMG pots are 25k pots. They're an active, low impedance system. While you can use the EMG's with higher value pots, it's not desirable - because the pot becomes more of an on/off switch than a pot: At 0 you have no signal, then at 1 you get 50% output - which means you won't be doing any smooth volume fades with those pots.

Traditionally, 500k pots were used for guitars with humbucking pickups (i.e. Gibson), while 250k were used for singlecoils (Fender). I believe most major manufacturers stick to this principle."

I think if it came stock with EMG's you may have to get a grounding wire put in place? which is best done by a tech

Being an all mahogany guitar with a rosewood board the Warpig is going to be extremely dark. I would reccommend  Painkillers.

Not sure about that, just put some 1 meg pots, besides, the Feline Gothic SG, all mahogany rosewood board, alnico warpigs actually has a somewhat bright sound comparing to my other SG with MQ/Pig90, and it has either 300k or 500k pots, so i think the darkness might be a bit exagerated, or is this one just a oneoff, perhaps its the other of my SGs thats REALLY dark? who knows.

i dont find warpigs dark at all. Thick and meaty yes. But not dark.

A second reason you'll have to change pots is that lower value pots suck more treble. Therefore when you play a warpig (designed for 500k-1meg) through 25k pots, it will sound terrible. No sustain, no girth, just mud.

And the 1meg pot is a good idea, i did it to mine. Added a touch of high end.
