Yep, You could probably buy a near original Gibson Les Paul custom and add all the piddly bits of cr@p on and relic and still haven't for his recording rig. :P

the guitar of your nightmares more like it..

Quote
Painstaking effort has gone into recreating every nuance of James' original guitar, while adding some new characteristics to make a truly unique signature ESP instrument.
this is such bullcr@p ... what it basically says, we replicated it, but then we unexpectedly dropped it on the floor a couple of times.

besides 35k for that piece of cr@p, for an outdated band, that hasnt released anything good since the 90's?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. even if it was ACTUALLY his, it wouldnt be worth that much. that should've been an LTD for 350, cos that's what the fanboys can actually afford. this price is aimed at collectors and collectors dont buy that shite.  that's more than what the EVH frankenstrat replicas were going for.. and EVH is a quadrillion times more popular than hetfield. besides, everyone who actually KNOWS metallica, remembers hetfield by his explorers and not that abomination

no, the original is an ESP - exactly the same model - costing about 33k $ less... i didn't know that a couple more scratches were worth all that money... :)

Oh my god, it's looming over me! It's so...so....so OMINOUS!

I never understood buying someone's signature guitar...surely when you play, you want to sound like YOU and no one else?

I'm pretty sure it was a Gibson:

However, seems a bit unreasonable to rag on ESP for some idiot ramping the price up to an insane level on eBay. Presumably the last Het ESP sig sold well enough to justify them putting this out.

It was a Les Paul Custom.  ESP are cashing in on the fact he uses their guitars now.

It is a Gibson that Hetfield uses and that makes this ESP even more ridiculous.

A joke of a project from ESP but I don't blame them for the stupid price on Ebay.
