Cab came in today (PICS)

so i got the cab built by a carpenter around these parts.
went for the solid wood aproach for a more airy tone (and DUDE is this cab solid! i could throw it out the window and it'd stay in one piece.) it's also heavy as ****!
i still dont have the speakers or jacks or anything that makes it produce sound, but that's coming. i'm getting the grills on saturday probably and i'll check with the store tomorrow if they ordered the V30's already and when they'll be around.

gonna wire it up with some heavy duty wires.. saaaaay .. 6mm square?  hehe

i'm still toying with the idea of wrapping it up in tolex, but i kinda like the look. fits my room furniture hehe. the grills are going to be black. was hoping to get some diferent color ones, but they're hard to find =/

actualy iy's just one teddy bear. the toy next to it is a mouse, the blue thing on top is one of those do not disturb door knob sign thingies. what you dont see is a plush dog, another teddy bear, a polar bear, one of those lazy big eared dogs and a small moose

That cab's awesome man, I don't know if it's what you're after but I know Vox sell AC-30 grille cloth as a replacement part for restorations.

i think they will look amazing with the black grilles!!! Don't think yu should go vinyl... although if yu did, it'd still look kewl, and probably more metal :twisted:

:D Personnaly i would cover the Cab. it helps prevent dinks & scratch marks. Looks like a solid piece of work there Davey  :D

i havent got my speakers yet. i am checking with the local shop to see how much they can get em for me. the last time i checked their celestion prices was $70-75 a piece .. i'm not from that big island up yonder such as you are so 88 plus postage might run me higher than what i can get here, but thanks for the link, i'll check em out if the shop wants too much

found the speakers online here.. 90$ a piece.. have to check the store tomorow and see what they say
