Can some one direct me to some Black Dog sound samples.
I would like to hear how heavy they can be.

I'm uploading to our myspace page (see sig) some of our tracks from rehearsal room (really cr@p mic stood in corner of the room!) over the last couple of weeks.

Black dog in a WezV baritone (see avatar) through a 5150-II with no effects other than an ISP Decimator ProRackG.

That heavy enough for you?

:)

Yeah, not only is it just one mic in the corner of a (VERY LOUD) room, it's also a mic that only cost about 3 quid from Thomann (one of their cheapo T-bone jobbies), so the quality is pretty terrible! Ho hum, looking into some recording time soon to get this down properly. I have a few clips of slightly better quality (just guitar so you can hear the tone better), and those are linked to I think in the 'WezV Baritone' thread: linkeh.

Thanks for the clip man. I am looking for a pickup to put in a 7 string. What amp are you using?

Thanks a ton man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your clips are great and really let me hear the tone of the pickups much better.
I especially enjoyed the stranglehold clip and the immigrant smoke...I love that tone but I am curious how they sound for those songs on a tube amp. You recorded those with the Tone lab and I wonder how it would sound plugged into my Engl Ritchie Blackmore head.

Once again thanks a lot for the clips very helpful and they make me want a pair of black dogs for my 7 string.

Hey there,

There are plenty of BlackDog clips of mine with a tube amp too. Anyways, on recording you don't hear THAT much of a difference. But the immigrant song in this thread: http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=11616.0 was recorded with a Marshall Vintage Modern.

Or alternatively, here they are played with a Bogner Shiva: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crvnSczfU3E

mine goes through a Peavey 5150-II with a 5150 cab loaded with 2 x Celestion G12K-100 and 2 x EVM 12L black label speakers.
Tuning is A-E-A-D-F#-B with 14-70 strings.

Sounds IMMENSE in the room :)
